The best crepes in Paris to celebrate Pancake day!

Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras, Pancake day… Whatever you call it, the 5th March provides a great excuse to feast on delicious Parisian crêpes. In preparation for the big day, here are some of the best places to find delicious crepes in Paris:

1. Breizh Café

The top of many ‘best crepierie’ lists, Breizh café is arguably the best crepe restaurant in Paris. The sophisticated creperie combines traditional Breton ingredients with inspiration from Japan, to create delicious and incredibly original crepes and buckwheat galettes. The chefs take their work extremely seriously, and each plate is hand crafted to the highest standard. In true Breton style, they also pride themselves on their selection of ciders.

2. La Crêperie des Canettes

In the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, lies this traditional creperie. While all of their flavours are delicious, we have to recommend their buckwheat goats cheese and honey galettes, and the ‘Belle Ile’, a delicious combination of vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and toasted almonds, for dessert.

For something a bit different, head to the Princess Crepe for a Japanese take on the traditional Breton delicacy. Think something between a crepe and an ice cream Sunday, piled high with toppings. The bright pink interior of this place makes it pretty hard to miss, and it’s well worth a trip to get yourself an equally colourful sweet or savory treat to eat.
