Le Chien de Pavlov is a lively and contemporary bistro situated in the heart of Vieux Bordeaux. This cosy restaurant is unconventionally decorated with things like mismatched antique furniture and Tiffany lights. The menu changes by season depending on what ingredients are fresh and available, but the prices always remain relatively similar and for the excellent quality of the food, the dishes are generally good value for money. You can also find cheap glasses of wine here for only €2.

Since its opening, it has become an extremely popular restaurant / cocktail bar that is incredibly difficult to get a table at. The restaurant is open every day for lunch, except for Sunday when it’s closed the whole day, however it is only open for dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday. It transforms into a fashionable speakeasy on the other nights. The lunch menu is very good value for money for a high quality gastronomic restaurant at just €20 for starter, main and dessert.

You can get a starter and a main here in the evening for €33, which is pretty well priced for his delicious creations. Le Bouchon Bordelais is a great place to eat during your time in Bordeaux.

You watch the seven courses unfold in front of you. The menu is built according to what the chef likes, the season and the market.
