4. Greenfield

Greenfield is a bilingual franco-english school in Lyon which offers a pre-school and a primary / elementary school for students ages 2 to 10 years old. The pre-school intends to set the foundation of bilingualism by teaching English to each student in the same way that they learned their native language, through playing, listening, participating in songs, dances, handicrafts, and educational games! The primary / elementary school on the other hand will continue teaching English to your child by having half of their day in English with a native anglophone teacher, and the other half of their day will be spent in French with a native francophone teacher. Greenfield intends to enrich their pupils vocabulary by perfecting their mastery of oral communication and starting English in writing from the second grade (which, of course, will also help them read in English as well). All of this will be accomplished using the Cambridge English methods and examinations in the third and fourth grade in which Greenfield has achieved a 100% success rate in recent years.
