Where is Orly airport?<\/h2>\n

Orly is the second largest airport in France, after Paris CDG. It has 2 terminals: the South terminal, called “Terminal S” <\/strong> and the West Terminal, called “Terminal W”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The airport is located 14km south of Paris, near the town of Orly. Most domestic flights, flights to Europe, the Middle East, the Maghreb and the French West Indies arrive in and depart from Orly airport.<\/p>\n

How to go to Paris from Orly airport by public transport?<\/h2>\n

You have a number of options for getting to Paris. Public transport is the cheapest option, whilst taxi is undoubtedly the most convenient.<\/p>\n

OrlyBus<\/h3>\n

There is a regular shuttle service between Orly airport (south and west terminals) and Paris (Place Denfert-Rochereau, 75014). It’s probably the cheapest transfer option, but the travel time can be a little long.<\/p>\n

Shuttle services leave every 8 and 15 minutes and have a journey time of 25-35 minutes.<\/p>\n

Paris-Orly Air France Shuttle<\/h3>\n

The Paris-Orly Air France shuttle connects Orly Airport to Paris \u00c9toile\/Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es, stopping at the Gare Montparnasse and Les Invalides on the way. It runs every 20 minutes.<\/p>\n

Travel times from Orly airport to Paris \u00c9toile \/ Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es:<\/p>\n

Orly \u2013 Gare Montparnasse : approx. 45 minutes
\nOrly \u2013 Invalides : approx. 50 minutes

RER B and OrlyVal<\/h3>\n

The Orlyval shuttle connects Orly airport to Paris in about 30 minutes. You will need to take the Orlyval shuttle from Orly to reach Gare d’Antony (RER B), then take the RER B to Saint Michel Notre Dame to reach the heart of Paris.<\/p>\n

There are two departure points at Orly airport:<\/p>\n

– The first is at Orly South: Gate K – baggage reclaim area<\/p>\n

– The second is at Orly West: Gate A – level 1<\/p>\n

The Orlyval shuttle services run daily from 06.00- 23.00, with a waiting time of around 5- 7 minutes.<\/p>\n

RER C<\/h3>\n

The RER C allows you to reach Paris from Orly airport by taking the “Paris Par le Train” shuttle bus. The shuttle takes you to the RER station Pont de Rungis in around 35 minutes. To take the shuttle from Orly South, look for Exit C then Stop 6. And from the West Terminal, look for Exit C then Stop 7.<\/p>\n

TRAMWAY<\/h3>\n

The Line 7 tramway connects the Villejuif-Louis Aragon station to Orly airport.<\/p>\n

Travel time is 45 minutes to Villejuif (Metro Line 7) and trams run daily from 05.30-00.30. It runs every 10-15 minutes.<\/p>\n

BUS<\/h3>\n

The 183 bus run by the RATP links Paris to Orly airport and the Porte de Choisy. The minimum fare for the 183 Bus is \u20ac2 and travel time is around 50 minutes. For more information, visit the RATP website. <\/a><\/p>\n

NOCTILIEN (NIGHT BUS)<\/h3>\n

The “Noctiliens” (night buses) runs every night from 00.30-05.30.<\/p>\n

The N131 connects the gare de Lyon to the south and west Terminals.<\/p>\n

The N31 runs between Orly South and the gare de Lyon.<\/p>\n

The N144 runs between Orly South and the gare de l’Est The N22 runs between Orly South and Ch\u00e2telet \u2013 Les halles<\/p>\n

Taxi<\/h3>\n

There are plenty of taxis (beware of the queues) that will take you from the airport to your destination.<\/p>\n

Only taxis located at the gates mentioned above are allowed to take customers. These taxis can be identified by the “light” on the roof of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

If you are approached by people offering taxis when leaving the baggage claim area, advice you to say no. They are unofficial and overpriced!<\/p>\n

Uber<\/h3>\n

You can request a Uber from Orly airport. You just need to open the application on your phone and enter your destination, and select your preferred vehicle. The cheapest is \u201cUberpool\u201d, but your trip may take longer since you will be sharing it with other people.<\/p>\n

A new alternative: the Grand Paris project<\/h2>\n

This project, voted in the Supervisory board in July 2016, will allow easier transit between the three airports in Paris<\/strong>.
\nThe Orly airport will be connected to Paris by metro line 14<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Line 14 of the Parisian metro will be extended 14km on the south, connecting Orly airport to Saint-Denis, making it the backbone of the Grand Paris.
\nThis service will be operational in 2024. The goal is to reduce the transit time as follows:<\/p>\n

Ch\u00e2telet – Villejuif IGR : 15 minutes vs 27 minutes today
\nOrly airport – Issy RER : 22 minutes vs 45 minutes today
\nOrly airport – Gare de Lyon: 25 minutes vs 42 minutes today<\/p>\n
