It is necessary to reserve an apartment and is deducted from the first rental payment.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lodgis.com\/en\/?utm_source=blog\">Lodgis<\/a> the down-payment is determined by the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No deposit is required for rentals of less than 3 weeks, unless stipulated in the contract<\/li>\n<li>30% of the total rent for stays from 3 weeks to 3 months<\/li>\n<li>1 month\u2019s rent for stays of 3 months or more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Note that the total deposit amount cannot exceed the equivalent of 2 months rent for a furnished rental or primary residence. We accept the following payment methods for the deposit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bank card (Visa and Mastercard)<\/li>\n<li>Bank transfer (the sender is responsible for any associated charges)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9037\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/EN.jpg\" alt=\"Guarantee vs security deposit - Lodgis \" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lodgis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/EN.jpg 550w, https:\/\/blog.lodgis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/EN-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>The security deposit (le d\u00e9p\u00f4t de garantie)<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>The security deposit (le d\u00e9p\u00f4t de garantie) is designed to cover any potential damages caused during your stay (broken dishes, damaged furniture, etc.)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If, at the end of your stay, no damages are identified, the owner will return the security deposit to you. Otherwise, the cost of repairing any damages will be deducted from the security deposit and part (or none) of the remaining amount will be returned to you within 60 days of your departure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For weekly rentals<\/strong>, the security deposit is usually returned on the date of departure.<\/p>\n<p>Amount of the security deposit with Lodgis:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For rentals from 21 days to 60 days (59 nights), it will correspond to 50% of one month&#8217;s rent<\/li>\n<li>For rentals from 2 to 6 months, it will correspond to one month&#8217;s rent<\/li>\n<li>For rentals periods of more than six months, it will correspond to two months&#8217; rent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[eltd_blockquote text=&#8221;LODGIS TIP: Make sure that you do an inspection (\u00e9tat des lieux) and inventory (inventaire) when you arrive at the apartment and keep a safe copy of these documents.
